Our history began with the vision of a man named Frank Lipischuk and his commitment to make high quality homemade pizza. And boy did Frank get it right!
He owned and operated the very first “Frank’s Pizza” for 27 years at our current Selkirk location: 326 Main Street. Frank loved his business and watched the happenings on Main Street from the window each night. He was one-of-a-kind and many customers still share fond memories of Frank today when grabbing their pizza from the counter. His signature pizza: “Frank’s Combination” put him on the map and made Frank’s Pizza a destination!
He worked hard to earn a loyal following – even delivering pizza to customers himself from time to time. Frank sold the business to the current owner’s in 2000 but before retiring… he taught us everything he knows about making delicious pizza.
The secret to the great taste starts with Frank’s homemade pizza dough that is rolled fresh on site daily! The recipe for our pizza sauce is Frank’s own blend of spices. Generous toppings compliment each and every pizza. We use only the finest ingredients and highest quality meats. Our specialty pizza’s are layered with slices – yes slices, NOT shreds – of Manitoba’s own Bothwell mozzarella cheese.
Our pizza is then cooked to a perfect golden brown in our true stone heated ovens. Frank’s Pizza never leaves you hungry – just hungry for more!
In the fall of 2013 Frank’s Pizza opened a second location at 2450 Main Street in Winnipeg. That’s right. Selkirk’s best kept secret is now available to everyone in Winnipeg!
Sadly, Frank passed away a few years back but his legacy lives on.
Frank’s Pizza will always deliver the highest quality homemade pizza around with a taste that can’t be beat.
